Advice for getting through morning sickness

My husband and I are so excited to be expecting our first child in May. We are somewhere around 6 weeks, the doctor didn't want to schedule an appointment before 8 weeks. I work in a nursing home and unfortunately I will need to continue to work. I have been very nauseous for the first half of the day. I was wondering if anyone found anything to help get me through work in the morning. I have tried crackers when I wake up, sea bands, and ginger tea. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful suggestions! I'm experiencing a general nausea throughout the day instead of vomiting in the morning. Sea bands seem to help some and I did notice that even though I feel so sick all of the time I feel a little better after eating. I have lost a few pounds due to sometimes just looking at food makes me dry heave. Thanks again for all of the encouragement!  Its so hard not being able to tell all of my friends and family yet so its nice to have a place to talk about it. :)

Eat small meals...snack often like cracker, bananas, applsauce. Stay hydrated even f its little sips frequently. Peppermint or ginger essential oil kinda take the edge off. Preggie pop drops, peppermint candy, chew peppermint gum.vitamin b6,can help. Some use unisom but i havent. When all else fails talk to your OB for some meds. I powered through it with my first and worked 60+ hours a week..this time with my 2nd and I'm a SAHM of a 2.5,yr old I spend 80-90% of my day in the bathroom...its horrid. Zofran helps a little bit and is a category b med. Diclegis is a category a med for pregnancy but it didn't touch my nausea and vomiting...good.luck hun!

The only thing i can keep down atm is yoghurt. Iv been spending all day every day buy the toilet for 3 weeks now. People have suggested to me lots of very small meals or just healthy snacks thru  the day instead of meals

Every person and pregnancy is different. Try sucking on Peppermint candy or Peppermint tea.
