baby head down but not engaged

Hello lovely ladies, I'm 38 weeks and due on the 22nd, but at yesterday's midwife appointment was told baby not engaged into birth canal yet. Though hr is head down. That's a bit annoying, but I've been told second babies tend to take their time annoyed bob up and down for annoyed while before they settle down there. Has anyone else had this?

I had my little one on the 5th and he didn't engage until I was in labor.  This was my second child so don't worry, they will eventually drop!  Even if they wait till the last minute lol

Oh thanks ladies! Relieved to hear it's not a  big problem or something that hinders labour. Good luck and thanks again.

I am 37 weeks with 2nd baby and her head has been engaged for a while. If it's not engaged it doesn't affect when labour starts so don't worry. I was hoping it meant labour would happen sooner but some women still go overdue even if the head has been engaged for weeks x
