At the hospital

I feel a bit like a goober. I was told if my contractions were consistent for an hour at 10 mins apart to go to the hospital. Mine were consistent for an hour at 4 mins apart so I came to the hospital. They have me hooked up to a machine to time my contractions and my baby's heart. I'm still having contractions, but I'm not convinced I'm in labor yet. I wish it were more obvious when labor started. Lol. For my first child my water broke, he was easy. This one is a guessing game.
I'm 37.5 weeks, same as when my first son was born. So we'll see!

@chelsiluckly3 - My Mother-In-Law cut my son's cord! LOL!!! My husband was disgusted and refused to cut the cord. Lol. So the doctor handed the scissors to my MIL. They had to make my husband hold our son too while they were stitching me up, he was nervous he'd accidentally hurt him. Lol!
Luckly, he's an amazing father and very involved once we get the delivery out of the way. Lol He's anxious to hold this baby. :)

My husband stood at the head of my bed and didn't breathe until I was cleaned up stitched up then rushed pasted me too the baby lol. My mom cut both our children's umbilical cords because my husband in complete shock that they would even ask said "well for God sake no I'm not a doctor!" He's a pansy and I hope I don't need anything that would involve his assistants this time either he could barely drive to the hospital lol.

I'm glad everything turned out well. :) I'm not so worried about not having an epidural if it came to it. I just wouldn't want to deliver in a car, my husband would be usless! Lol. He would be paralyzed with fear and only able to say, "I don't know what to do!" I might as well be alone. Hahaha.
For our first child's delivery, which went very smooth and easy he just stood by my head holding my hand and couldn't bring himself to do anything but stand there in horror. Lol!!!
It's great that you had a doula with you! :)

Lol... I never dreamt is have an unmedicated delivery... Alas, baby had other plans.  Everything turned out great besides the ambulance waiting too long to transport me. Baby was hypothermic when we arrived at the hospital... So burned off all get sugar.  Ended up in the nicu for a couple days, but we came home Saturday night.  She's doing well, eating like a champ.  My doula was amazing... So I was actually quite at ease... Not scared or worried at all.  :)

Oh no! That must have been scary! I'm assuming everything went fine afterwards. How's your baby?
That's a fear of mine that I won't get to the doctor in time. I have a few friends that barley made it to the hospital. I don't mind if I miss out on a epidural, I just don't want the baby to come outside of the hospital. Lol

My contractions are so mild, I have trouble timing them. For my first child my pain level never passed a 6 on the scale of 1-10. It makes it super hard to time them.
My MIL and sister in law informed me tonight that their contractions were never regular the entire time they were in labor.
GoodNess this is some tricky stuff

Mine did this earlier tonight except 2 out of the 20 contractions were 6 minutes...the rest were 2:30-3 minutes apart. Then they just slowed down.  I thought it was time too!  It's such a guessing game!
