Baby Reaghan has arrived and boy it was eventful.

Well first full day at home.  Wow was it fast.

Took a nap on Sunday while husband was rubbing my feet and trying the accupreassure on back of ankles.  Woke up to a small dribble and thought I peed.  Went to bathroom and it did have a smell of ammonia.  :-(

So went to the fridge to get a beverage and there she gushed.  A small puddle was at my feet.  So we proceeded to pack up #1 & #2 to take them to the grandparents.  With every move more and more water gushed out.

Would have thought this was our first by the way hubby was acting.  He loaded everyone and everything in the car.  Next thing I know I hear the car start.
Still in the house...trying to freshen up before going in. After being asked 5 times and the car being shut off & on 3 times, I stated leave me alone as I'm not going in covered in toddler snot & peanut buter and jelly.

Well made to hospital got checked in.  Nurse had to proceed with an amnisure test, but checked me first and another gush of water spewed out.  With that said and waisted test later we were moved to delivery.  My midwife was not on call so there went my waterbirth plan.  Checked in at a 3 was monitored for an hour and the doctor wanted to order pitocin.  I begged to wait two hours and walk.  Also said I want to go natural unless there is something wrong. Gee two hours later went from  3 to almost a 7 because they had to debate about that.  Plus they had to rebreak my water as the baby's head created another pocket of fluid.

Well it was shift change at 11 with no changes from last check. Spent an hour getting on and off the toilet contractions then got stronger with the use of aroma therapy.  Then I was ready to throw in the towel and ask for an epidural. Checked an was an 8 ordered the med to get there before delivery.  Between that page an the numbing stick they give for an epidural something changed with th next 3 contractions.  According to my husband they missed and was getting ready to reattempt, when I yelled out "She's plowing thru my hips."  Nurse paged the doctor and told him to run since my babies come out in four minutes.

I was told not to push, but you know what your body does it regardless.  Pushing lasted 8 minutes with only two really good pushes.
I remembered yelling I did it!

Wow what a high and rush.  No need to go sky diving;-p.

Baby was 7 lbs even 19.5 inches and scored a 9.5 on the apgar score.  Born 1:18 AM on 05-18-2015.

Happy one month birthday little gipper.  So happy that you are starting to sleep through the night.  You are such a welcome to the family, especially when sister and brother were so eager to share their favorite toys with you on their first meeting (sammy and clifford their stuffed dogs).
