Keep in mind you can also request your medical records be transferred to a new doctor. When I switched I saw differences in what was expressed in my appointment to what was recorded.
Just a thought...
You shouldn't be lifting more than 25 lbs now. And not all doctors see you every two weeks. Mine don't neither. It also depends on your weight when you got pregnant. I was over weight but walking one to five miles a day. Now I can get only one mile if I am lucky some days. But my doctor only wanted me to gain 15 lbs. So far so good. But you need to let him know how you feeling and he may can explain why he said the things he say or find someone else in that office to be your doctor. To change now might not be the best idea because others don't know your case like the ones in that office.
You might have a very hard time getting another Dr to accept you this far along. I don't see any reason why you should stop lifting weights unless it's cause issues that he hasn't told you about. You may just have to be blunt with him and let him know how he's making you feel. Stand up for yourself. Try taking someone with you to your appointments. He might change his attitude if your husband goes with you.
If youve had a healthy pregnancy so far, they can continue to see you once a month until the last month. I'm in the same boat
I'd tell that doctor to kick rocks and request someone else. Sounds like a tool.
I'd switch the doctor too. As a matter of fact did that with #2. It was in the middle of my 3rd trimester and it worked out great. Even went to a midwife because I was tired of all the meddling by the obs.
Do what's best for you and listen to your body. :-)
I dont even lift a lot. Only arms. That does nothing. But whatever
Switch to a different doctor. But I do agree on stopping lifting weights as it can cause preterm labor now.... Third trimester you need to take it easy.
