Glucose Test

My 1 hour glucose test levels were elevated so now I have to do the 3 hour test. My Mom had gestational diabetes with all three of her pregnancies so I figured I would probably have it also, but I'm scared! I'm reading about all the increased risks for my baby and I can't help but feel bad/guilty about it even though I know there's nothing I can do to prevent it. I'm just hoping I pass the 3 hour test and don't have to deal with it. Anybody else going through this?

I took both the one hour and the three hour. I failed the one hour and did the three hour. You just have to pass two  out of the three. It just hurts getting poked all the time. I have to do it again cuz my doctor ordered it so early in the pregnancy.  I just opted for the three hour cuz I think I would fail the one hour. My mom had it when she was pregnant with me. Just think if your mom had it and you turned out fine then don't worry about it. Your doctor can guide you through everything.  It doesn't help the baby to be worried so much about risks.

I'm taking my test tomorrow. It doesn't run in my family but it still makes me nervous.
