epson salt bath and eucalyptus oil at all relax you and it will also ease up your leg cramps and help you sleep better at least that's what I've used in it it works for me just rinse off when you get out of the Bath.and they use eucalyptus lotion to do continue on throughout my sleep

I got the same a few days ago and yes, always at night! I got them before but the last few days it was aweful! I sleep on my sides too and just cannot get comfortable at night, pillow or no pillow. Even the next morning I found both thighs to ache. They were only bad for a day but definitely something I wont forget. I found that rubbing castor oil on there seemed to have helped and drinking lots of water throughout the day also makes it better.

I also get this pain in my hips and legs. I find drinking a lot of water in the day time and using a heating bag just before bed helps a bit...I'm also already trying by laying on left aide with pillow between knees and a pregnancy pillow to support my belly and back... From what I have read it seems it is a common symptom in pregnancy and will resolve it self after pregnancy.

Oh my gosh I have had that pain since day one. I sleep on my sides & I switch every few minutes. I'm not even exaggerating. The pain is so extreme. Its all in my legs & lower back. I don't remember this with my first pregnancy. I also sleep with a pillow between my leg's but I can't seem to find any comfort :( I'm 20wks & dying for a good night's sleep.

Do you sleep on your back? Try sleeping on your side. I read that sleeping on your back reduces blood flow so this could be the reason?
