Hemmoroid treatment

My hemmoroids have been the worse! My doctor prescribed Anusol suppositories to help but as I researched it online, it said it could possibly cause fetal abnormalities and I am freaking out right now! I don't believe my ob would purposely prescribe anything that would harm my baby but that bothered me tremendously. Has anyone else been prescribed this or another type of cortisteriod for hemmoroids?

Anusol wont affect the baby as it is not absorbed into your blood stream.

It's your body and your baby you don't have to take it if your worried about potentially cause harm to your baby ..also I would think any abnormalities would be more of a risk in the stage where baby is still developing depends on how far along you are for me my baby at this point is just putting on the pounds ....Dr s are supposed to treat you based on if the treatment outweighs the risks and they only know as much about these drugs as they read and hear themselves if it concerns you I say speak to your Dr let them know your concerns and find out if there are safer method s and if you still feel uncomfortable about it refer to another Dr ..your body your choice!:)
