I started having contractions at 2 in the morning today. After 10 hours of labouring at home, we arrived at the hospital with contractions 4 minutes apart at 1 pm. I was already 6 cm dilated so I was rushed to get in the bath as I requested a water birth. In there I started asking for an injection after 30 minutes because I couldn't take the pain. I came out the water but couldn't get an injection as I was already at 10 cm! I pushed for about 45 minutes and got her out just in time because her heart rate was dropping. The second she was out I forgot about all the pain and only needed a couple of stitches luckily. It was the most horrible and best experience ever. She is breastfeeding like a champ which is why I'm still not sleeping but I could stare at her all night so I don't mind being awake 24 hours. She is so incredibly gorgeous! Thanks for all your tips and encouragement, I'll stay on this forum a bit longer and answer questions. Xxx

I forgot to say I was 40+6 today, she was going to be induced tomorrow but I went for a 4 hour walk and contractions started a few hours later
