Perfect Baby Shower!
Did any of you have your baby shower yet? Well, I had my baby shower yesterday (Saturday, April 18th). It was everything I could have asked for. My baby has everything that he needs and so much more. I didn't expect to get that many gifts. I received way more gifts than I thought I would get. I'm so blessed to have the support of my family and my boyfriend's family. I'm 18 and about to be a sophomore in college and a ftm on top of that and I'm doing better than what people may think someone of my age would be doing. I already had a career at 16 and I'm continuing on with it. I'm 38 weeks, due in 12 days on May 1st, and life is so great for me. I hope all is well for the rest of you also.
Thanks ladies I just don't understand why people do that. If I say I'm gonna go to something I go I know it costs money to account for how many people are going. Some of my friends said they didn't have the money for a gift I told them it didn't matter I just wanted to celebrate my baby boy but that was not important for them. The one that made me really mad was the my friend whose baby shower I just went to 2 weeks ago and I spent a lot of money on stuff for her and she didn't even come to mine when she said she was. And a few people that didn't come have already asked me since if I'm coming to their baby shower. I'm just like are you serious?
@alice people did the same thing but I expected people to go it. But even with just a hand full you make the best. Some still get you things and others didn't come because they didn't have the money to get you a gift. Then you have others that just lie to you. But you know it I'd how you make it. I am sorry about your turnout.
@alice I'm so sorry to hear that. People are so rude. They could have came. I had more people at my baby shower than I thought I would. I wish yours would have went the same way. I just hope some of those people that canceled on you will send you gifts.
I also had my shower on Saturday but I was kind of upset because as of Thursday 22 people were suppose to be coming and then Friday 10 texted me and cancelled within an hour and when Saturday came around only 6 people came. I felt so bad because my mom spent hundreds of dollars on my shower and then last minute everyone skipped out. For the 6 people that came I did get a lot of stuff. And I had already bought pretty much everything that I need. I only have like 5 things to get now nothing expensive but my shower was upsetting.
I had my shower today! It was so much fun and everyone I invited came ! We got everything we needed and more! I can't wait to have her here, 30 more days !
I just had mine today. My mom made sure she had everything she needed Before the shower. But I got a lot of stuff that was needed. Diapers and wipes, baby wash and stuff always could use them. She got got so many clothes that she will never where all of them. She has two dressers and they are full. My closest and her baby bed is full of stuff. People are still talking about getting her stuff.
My baby shower isnt till a month or so after i have my baby so i have bought everything i wish i had it before so it was cheaper on me but i got alot of second hand stuff so should be okay... glad you got spoiled always good to have more in case you need it :) congrats
Good on ya mate..I'm glad ur family and friends are looking out for u. Im 30 ftm, and I go just as spoilt on Saturday. I was very lucky to have it at all- only got outta the hospital from acute pain 1 &1/2 hrs before the shower. Bubs lying on vital tubes between kidneys n bladder = wanna throw up levels of pain. But I got almost everything I need possible. Just need to pick up nappies, which ppl gave me gift cards for. Definitely will end up having to give some away or change the sizes for those ppl who left me tags. Good on u for continuing ur college. Do whatever it takes to look after bubs and complete ur degree hun. Best of luck. X
