Painful Braxton Hicks?

Im a FTM at 26 weeks.
Last night around 3am i was woken up by a cramping and squeezing in my lower belly, it felt like my tummy was squeezing really hard then stopping and starting again. Ive never had braxton-hicks but read that they shouldnt be painful, id describe it as really uncomfortable.
Kind of like the feeling of needing to go to the toilet after a bad curry.

Does this sound like Braxton Hicks to other mums? Ive had no bleeding or anything since and ive felt baby moving today so i presume hes fine..

Just need reassurance :(

I had mine whilst I was laying down for a nap last week too- I'm 27w. Felt like awful endometriosis period pain and kinda pulsed and knicked off pretty quick. But when it came to explaining the pain at my doc app my brain had already blanked it out. And then because I'd already forgotten the details the ob said it wasnt one. Lucky I wrote it down in here when it happened. No stress, apparently it'll happen again more frequently the closer we get.

Yes, I had that about a week ago (I'm
28 weeks now). They stopped once I had water & laid down. Mine felt like period cramps that would stop & start. Very painful.
