bacterial infection

Could anyone tell me what side effects could come from a bacterial infection or if it could have any effects on the baby?  I went through one set of antibiotics and its still there. I have to start another round today. Im 32 weeks and kind of getting worried because ive had it for some time

I finished the second round of antibiotics and have to do a retest next week. Really hope it will be gone now...

I asked my midwife about it when she was doing my swab for Groub B why dmthey didn't retest for BV to see if it was gone and she said cause it didn't really matter. I sort of wanted to demand it but I guess I'm just going to trust that they know what they're talking about.

No prob, I totally understand that anxiety and lots of women get it and don't realize it! It's not anything like an std, just make sure your doctor retests you when you're done with your antibiotics so you can have some peace of mind. I wish I had, I guess I sort of just figured they knew what they were doing and if they didn't feel a need to make sure it was gone then it must not be as bad as I thought!

It happens from using feminine products and messing with your natural ph balance. As women we have good bacteria and bad bacteria. BV happens when we destroy so much good bacteria that the bad bacteria sort of takes over. Eating yogurt, avoiding douching and overwashing down there will help this.

Bacterial vaginosis if you are wanting to look it up. It scared me too and I'm nervous I still have it as well since you dont really have to show any symptoms. Fingers crossed, I'm thinking they'll find out if I still have it at my next app. Good luck, I know its scary but its really not a big deal to have it or they'd be more careful.

I had bv at around four months or so when they did a culture test and they gave me antibiotics for it. I took them all but they never did a retest to see if it was gone. It's not terribly dangerous anything but it does seem to highten our risk of premature labor.

Do they know where the infection is?  If it's in your intestinal track try kifeir.

Lactose free and a cousin of yogurt.  It supposed to clean the body of toxins.  Worked for myself and my toddler.  We kept sharing the stomach flu which is a bacterial infection for the last two months.  Finally getting it out of our systems.
