birthing class

Hello everyone !! I am 35 weeks first time mother. I need to know if everybody is taking or has taken birthing classes. I am confused. Do I really have to take it or its all gonna, what they say , come naturally ..please advise. Thank u

Thank you ladies for your replies. Everything is so expensive here in Switzerland. My medical insurance doesn't even cover it. And hard to find a class for English speaker.

FTM as well, I'm taking classes, the natural birthing class, breastfeeding and New parents class. The last two I found for free at my local Baby's R Us, you should look into it to see if one near you offers classes

I took one i thought it was a waist of time they went way to over board of the different medications and medical stuff.. the nurse was even giving us stats on still born babies causing alot of tension and stress in the room... it was free here so maybe that has something to do with it.. all canadian classes and births are free unless you go to the ymca i think that costs a small fee

We can't afford the classes they offer at our hospital. I may just look it up online.

I took the class.. it wasnt just breathing excercies... but there was alont of options for positions to givimg birth and infor for ur support person.. i enjoyed it and happy i attended being a ftm
