constipation/hemorrhoids

I'm 33 years old and 7w preg. This is my third pregnancy. My daughter is 13 and the second pregnancy was a miscarriage a few years ago. I'm having the worst constipation and hemorrhoids. Is anyone else struggling with this? And if so, how are you handling it?

Miraculously after 6 DAYS of NO poo I ate a persimmon (they are temporarily in season, DELISH and FULL of fiber). I'm still questioning if they were like sprayed with some pesticide that gave me diarrhea :-( BUT I immediately began cramping a slight bit and within 2 hours and a couple of rounds to the porcelain bowl...my colon was CLEANED OUT!  Sorry for the graphics but we know this preggo thang just ain't pretty at times :-)....we have to do what (safely) works!

I'm starting over after a large gap as well..my youngest will be 12 in a couple months! I too have been suffering with constipation and hemmoroids.. I started drinking more water and taking a stool softener daily and it seems to be helping.

We're in the same boat... not the constipation part though. I'm 31 and this is my 2nd child my son will be 13 next month. Here's to starting all over again!
Drink lots of water and the iron in your prenatal vitamins may be too high. Like the previous poster said get in those fiber rich foods. And try prunes or prune juice. I even drink a little coffee... that makes me go instantly.

Make sure your getting at least 8 cups of fluid daily and plenty of fiber rich food (nuts, beans, Seeds, fruits, veggies, grains) and exercise of your Dr says it's OK. I do all the above bite still have to take colace (Stool softener). Straining to go can cause the hemorrhoids.
