cough medicine

I never get sick but of course being pregnant I catch a cold! I've been taking Sudafed the last 2 days recommended by my OB. I just feel so guilty taking it! Has anyone else had to take any medications for a cold?

I had cold right at the start and avoided medication. I just rested, had lots of chicken broth soup and made a mixture of ginger, honey and lemon in hot water. Felt better in four days. Hope you feel better soon. Im also being bold by not having a flu jab.

andreaminer, call your doctor and tell that sudafed isnt working for you. they might give u some options. but what helped me i think was a steam shower, humidifier and the nasal spray and ofcourse lots of water. dont be afraid to drink medicine specially when u consulted ur doctor. they should know. u need to be better for ur baby, u dont want ur body system to go down. hope you'll feel better soon. xoxo!

That's so odd! My Dr told me all I could take for a cold is regular robitussin! I thought I was coming down with a cold, but luckily it was just sinuses, so I bought a humidifier and it cleared that right up!
