I know you get at least two gallons of milk. Often I get asked by cashiers if I have WIC when I have my two gallons of milk on the belt. Lol
I don't see why you shouldn't get it.
Wic is wonderful and very good to have. I've been using it since I was pregnant with my first and now he's 3. Its really good to have if u don't or can't successfully breast feed, they give u formula and it saves u hundreds every month.
Wow thats pretty good! Thanks for the info!
My WIC list:
4.5 gallons of 1% milk.
1 quart of 1% milk.
2 pounds of cheese.
3 pounds of bread or rice.
2 pounds of dry beans.
2 containers of peanut butter.
2 dozen eggs.
$15 in fruits and vegetables.
4 64oz jugs of juice.
2 48oz jugs of juice.
4.5 gallons of whole milk.
1 quart of whole milk.
And I might've left out a few things. And baby isn't even here yet!
As far as i know its food for the baby and formula. Things like cheese cereal and its pretty specific on how much you get with each certificate thing. Im not sure about what else it provides
What all does wic provide for you? I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my first and I've been wondering whether I should apply or not..
Thanks for the info! Im going to sign up aounds benificial to me lol
No you dont pay it back. Yes, its a great thing to have while pregnant and when baby comes. Its your choice to tell them about the father and if he in the home. I live in California too! :)
I'm in GA and no you don't have to pay it back. Its great if you can't or choose not to breastfeed because you get formula. Also as the child gets older you get baby food and then some regular foods.
I have wic in Texas. Its wonderful to me at least. I dont have to get the things i get free. No you dont have to pay back. I know even after if youre not breast feeding you get formula for the month :)
