Went in today for an ultrasound to see if I had to much fluid around my baby boy but everything looked great. He's not due until may 25th but he's weighing in at 5lb 8 ounces so they want to do anther ultrasound in a few weeks to see if I will be induced early or be having a c section. Just curious if anyone else is dealing with this or has Gone through this?

Had ny ultrasound last week at 33 weeks. They said my baby weighs 6lbs4oz

When i was gonna have my first son. I had an ultrasound done the day b4 my son was born they said he would weight about 8lbs 12oz. When he was born he weighed 7lbs 1oz. So i wouldn't stress.

At 31 weeks my baby was measuring two weeks ahead (4lbs already) this is my first and so naturally I'm terrified I won't be able to deliver her. I'm 32 weeks today and trying to keep from having panic attacks! Been reading every blog and website out there trying to mentally prepare myself.

Agree! Vaginal delivery is best and our bodies are made for it and I think ultrasounds tend to over estimate size the farther along you are.

I had the same scare. At 31 weeks I was measuring 33 weeks size. This week I am 33 and measured at 33. Women deliver babies that are 12 lbs vaginally. I asked my doctor about induction or c section and he said that we want you to deliver naturally unless something is not right. When you are in labor, they can measure your pelvic bones and the baby's head to see if it will physically fit or not. If the baby won't fit they have to do a c section. This is very rare I am told. They also want me to do ultrasounds before labors, I asked why, and was told that if the baby is larger they want to be prepared for him. Ultrasound measurements have a up to 40% error, so my doctor told me that no matter how much we try to prepare we just never know until the day comes! Hope this helps! I am in the same boat! Hugs :)

I am 33 weeks and my baby is 6 pounds 2 ounces . They are talking about abc section for me

I have a scan in Monday to determine if this is the reason for my bigger than supposed to be uterus. I will know more then.
