Jujum I know that's how I felt. You probably need some help like I did. Cortisone cream - over the counter and a antihistamine. That's how I felt. I was going crazy.......
I feel and look like a crack head all.the time scratching lol
My god! I have used lotions baby powder scrubbed myself and nothing helps. It affects my sleep now!
Hi. Well I had my checkup today and she is not worried. She Said a major sign of cholestasis is rash on hand palms and soles of feet.
Apparently hormones can make your skin very sensitive at this stage of pregnancy. I've never had sensitive skin before. She gave me am antihistamine though. I feel heaps better.. :)
It was good to get it checked out though. Bub is going well..
Good luck everyone. Especially Mariluvv with your induction.
I just got back from my appointment and getting induced on Sunday because of the Cholestasis
I tought i was the only one lol probly just your skin stretchin i used the exfoliating gloves in the shower and put loads of moisturiser on i dont feel as bad now :)
I never thought it could be so harmful I'm 37 weeks now I will ask on my next appointment
I'm experiencing the same thing... I had it with my first and now with this pregnancy... It's called cholestasis of pregnancy... Ask doctor to check your bile acid levels they might be too high... They will induce you at 37 weeks because its harmful for the baby... It can cause still birth so I would ask for the screening on your next appointment
Oh my goodness. I thought I was going crazy....... I've scrubbed the house. Changed the linen... Disinfected everywhere.... Family things I'm going crazy....... Lol..
I went to the chemists just now. She was a midwife as well. She said I need to be really careful as it can be a hormonal liver problem in pregnancy that needs medication. She gave me some cortisone cream to tide me over..
My next appointment is tomorrow. So I'm hanging. Apparently ill need to take a blood test for liver function.
Hopefully all goes well. Cold showers will help too.
My next appointme
