preterm contractions

I was hospitalized Saturday for preterm contractions. I'm getting kind of worried. They gave me morphine to relax my uterus and sent me home after monitoring for a few hours. I'm at home now, and the morphine has worn off. My uterus is starting to ache again. I'm keeping track to make sure it's not following a pattern again, but I'm worried this will turn into a constant problem or that I will end up going into labor. I'm only 22 weeks and so worried my baby won't make it. Any advice from moms who have experienced this before?

Thanks everyone. My ob is aware of the situation, so for now I'm just taking it easy at home and monitoring to make sure the contractions don't start again. I'm doing my best to keep this little guy in there, but it seems he's just a little too anxious to meet us! But hopefully he'll be patient enough to wait at least a few more weeks!

My neice had that happen to her. She's not due to February and has to get injections once a week to prevent labor. Call your Dr first thing and let them know what's going on.

Yes. I'm 23 weeks and I've had contractions too. They are atleast 4 hours apart so my Obgyn said that's normal.

Not so far. I am 23 weeks running. Just pull ur self together a lil longer. Week23 rd is actually the last week as they say that a preterm is considered a miscarriage. Ur baby would be saved. Be strong.
