Baby Came! Long detailed birth story :)

Had my 40 wk appt may 12th and was 4cm 80% effaced.  Went out for Mexican food and ice cream then a quick walk before bed. Felt my first real contraction around 10am and they were quite irregular at that point,  always 1.5 minutes long but anywhere from 8-16 minutes apart. Talked to my doula and she said watch a bit too see if they get regular.  Tried to nap but they were just strong enough to keep me up. At 330am they were painful enough that I couldn't walk or talk through them.  Let the doula know that they were still not regular but we're very intense!  She recommended calling the midwife and she said to go in even though they had not been regular or laying an hour.
Got to the hospital at 420 they checked and I was 5 cm. Around 530 I tried moving from the bed to the toilet where I stayed for about a half hour.  I could tell she was dropping down and I was entering transition. The nurses could tell too and wanted me back in the bed to be checked and found I was 9cm. My midwife came in and said "let's break this water and have a baby" she broke the water and literally I was pushing with the next contraction. 4 pushes later I was holding my angel!  Much quicker than I ever anticipated but perfect for us!  Transition labor is no joke!
