I took every form of Zofran, Phenergan, and even Thorazine (and eventually had a PICC line and TPN) during my first pregnancy. Sometimes you have to make sure your baby survives first by getting you through. By the way, she's perfectly healthy. I have also been taking it during this pregnancy and I know that I would have ended up on IV fluids without it.
I have been on it off and on through out, and seen this too, I asked my doctor about it, he said it's actually a very low risk and any other medications prescribed for nausea actually have worse side affects that are more common. Zofran is the safest they can prescribe
Maybe ask about getting extra folic acid. I am on seizure meds and they put me on extra 5mg of folic acid.
I've also been taking zofran with my pregnancy. I seen the ads as well. I just plan on talking to my doctor. I've had similar conversations with my doctor about medications (prednisone, albuterol, duoneb) and he had just felt the benefit outweighed the risk.
I saw this to. I have taken zofran with my last 2 pregnancies both girls r perfectly healthy and I'm now taking this with my 3rd baby girl. 5 of my friends that r pregnant r taking zofran also.
I saw that too.. im 29 weeks and take it daily. Still so sick without it. I beleive everything has risks but i wouldnt worry. Im trying not to.
