Early Birth

I am 37 weeks and only have 18 more days to go, but I am so uncomfortable all the time and ready to have my baby. Could I ask for an induction? And if I asked would my doctor do it? I had my first baby at 36 weeks due to preeclampsia and she was fine. The baby I know is already over 6 pounds and I just want to see if they will induce me.

I've heard being induced will make you have really horrible contractions! Worse then the natural contractions your body makes. I think it'll be worth the wait hopefully you go into labor soon ;)

It's really something only your doctor could answer. My doctor will do a membrane sweep but that's it until 39 weeks, unless there is a medical condition that requires an earlier birth.

I will be getting induced this Sunday at 39 weeks pregnant. I would have tried to go till my baby decides he wants to come but I have been super uncomfortable with sore ribs too. My OB Doctor is only letting me because I will be past 39 weeks. Best wishes!

I haven't had any blood pressure problems now, he's just been in my ribs making difficult to breathe most of the time and when I have to bend over for anything I get lightheaded idk I just didn't feel like I didn't have this many problems with my last one even though I had preeclampsia

I know my OB won't induce until 39 weeks if it's just because of being uncomfortable but maybe different if you've had preclampsia in the past.
