Scared my baby has downs
Hello , so im getting closer to my due date which is may 1st & its been on my mind heave lately that my baby might have downs . My OB told me i tested positive , but the test are 4% correct , & i went to a specialist & she told me the baby didnt have it . But for some reason im still afriad she has it . Can someone give me some advice on how to calm down ?
Im sure ur baby will be fine, those test are never 100% and in my opinion only cause worry. A friend of mine went her whole pregnancy with no warning signs of downs and her baby was born with it so you truly dont know until baby arrives. If its any comfort, her baby is so beautiful and has been the biggest blessing ever. Worse case is u are given this beautiful baby who will need u a little more. Enjoy this experience no matter what. All of us mommys worry no matter how much the dr. Tells us all is fine, thats what makes us good mommies :) best wishes on your new baby.
