I am going to exlcusive my twins too (but just in case I will take all the free samples from the hospital!)
I don;t think you should stock up - babies react and then you have to switch - buy one thing and see if it works before you buy more
Im going to try out the nestle good start, but yeah all babies are different, you might go through a few until you find ones they like
We had tried infamil lipil and our daughter had constipation problems... we switched to similac and she hasn't had a problem since... but every child's system is different... i couldn't breastfeed after 4 weeks of trying i still hadn't gotten my milk in so started just doing bottles....
I just had this chat w/my doctor yesterday. He said most all of the baby formulas rank about the same. And of course the hot new additive is DHA....and it is important from recent studies. He said organic is a personal preference since there is nothing proven that is nutritionally better since there are no "organic" standards in US foods so to speak.
I too plan to breast feed but he did suggest having some formula on hand in the event I needed it. And he said the hospital would provide me some as well. I signed up online w/a few different companies for samples and coupons.
I cant remember the name if the one I was gonna buy its something that I saw at BRU and it was supposed to be easy on the digestive system, I think I have some coupons for it somewhere..lol...Im
I am going to try breast feeding exclusively.Enfamil does a supplement Lipil which is supposed to be close to brest milk. http://www.enfamil.com/BreastfeedingKit/
