Todays appointment!

I had my 16th week appointment today. Everything went great, all my blood work from my first trimester were great. Heard the babies heart beat, that is always so great. The only thing that made me upset was that i was supposed to have an ultra sound, and apparently the appointment wasnt made for that. I made sure when the gal was making my appointment to make sure she put that down. She didnt!! Grrr now i have to wait another 4-6 weeks. I tried making an appointment and they were all booked. I spoke to my midwife and i told her that they are telling me there arent appointments available that i have to wait till July. Not fair at all. She said she will try to get me in as soon as possible and that she would call me. Hubby and i decided we might just go somewhere else and get a 3D ultra sound, the only thing is that we have to pay. Hubby doesnt care so we might just end up doing that.
I had some blood work done today, Quad screening and blood work for Cystic fibrosis. Besides the ultra sound deal i couldnt be happier, my baby is doing great.

Congrats on your great test results.  Its always a great feeling.  Im going to be 15 wks on Sat and I go in a couple of weeks for bloodwork.  So wish me luck.  I totally understand your disappointment on the u/s you soooo look forward to seeing your little person.  I saw a 3D sono at 26 wks that was amazing.

I told my DH for our anniversary aug 30th  I would like the 3D ultrasound as my gift.

Congrats on the good appointment.  That has got to be the worst thing.  I would be so pissed if they told me that I was going to get an u/s and then they screwed up.  That has got to be the worst thing they could do.  My doctor was trying to make us wait until 28 weeks to find out the sex.  But I talked to him and now he is going to let us have one at 20 weeks.  Thank god.  The suspense is killing me.  I am ready to start painting and decorating the babys room.

I think the 3D u/s would be awesome.  My husband and I have decided to get one, but we are going to wait until 30 - 32 weeks.  I want to be able to see a good pic of the face.  I am so excited.

Yea, glad all is well!!  Yes, it drives me crazy with the lack of communicaiton sometimes.  I had to call AGAIN today to get results from something...why can't they call me??  When I call, I get voice mail and have to play phone tag.  I realize I am not their only patient, but I am am patient!!
I would LOVE to do a 3D u/s.  I need to ask around and see who does it around here.

Congrats on the good news and sorry you didnt get your u/s...I go to a high risk place for my u/s's and everytime its what are you here for today? I dont understand the lack of communication between doc offices!

Oh yeah and i have gained a total of 10 pounds so far. My midwife said im good, she expects me to gain 25-35 pounds total.
