Another Newbie!

HI everyone!
I am so thrilled to be joining this forum.  I am new to medhelp and I am really hoping to be part of everyone's experiences till November!  I am 5 weeks 5 days (due Nov 22) and I have had 2 previous m/c and no live births. I am being monitored by my Dr very carefully and am on 400mg of progesterone per day.  My hcg is as follows:
16 dpo 257  Progesterone 91
20 dpo 707  Progesterone >191
23 dpo 1174 Progesterone >191

My Dr is concerned about the hcg not doubling and told me "this could turn out bad".  I am praying that my husband and I can welcome this little baby into our lives.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  Congrats to all of you and your families!

I'm so sorry to hear about that, you must be very disappointed to say the least.  I'm praying that everything works out for the best for you and your hubby.

Hugs,
Kelly

I figured I would update my situation.  I had an ultrasound last tues (5 weeks 6 days) and we saw a gestational sac.  My Dr had me come back again yesterday (6 weeks and 3 days) for another ultrasound but there had been no growth (we didn't see a yolk sac or a heartbeat) He told us that he's pessimistic about this pregnancy and has a gut feeling that I will miscarry in the next couple of weeks.  We go back Tues (6 weeks 6 days) and if there has been no further growth he will discuss our options with us at that time.  It is so disappointing to hear this news again, especially for a third time.  We will be starting a series of tests to figure out what (if anything) is the problem.

As for my last m/c's.  The first one was a missed m/c.  I was sick and had every pregnancy symptom under the sun but at 5 weeks I had brown spotting so they scheduled an early ultrasound at 9 weeks.  They unfortunately didn't find a heartbeat and the baby only measured 7 weeks.  I had to have a d&c at 10 weeks.  The second m/c happened at 5 weeks 2 days and began with brown spotting that turned darker and darker.  The cramping began and then the next day I miscarried.  I had no pregnancy symptoms that time at all.  Each one has been very different for me.  We are just praying for a healthy baby in the future.

Thanks for your prayers and for listening.  Best of luck to you guys!

Heather

It seem like your numbers are not rising as they should and your progestrone is really high, but that may also be due to the supplements. Have you seen a gestation sac and yoke yet? you should ask for an early U/S to make sure they pregnancy is in the right place.  I too had a few M/C, the first pregnancy, the number were not doubling as they should, the second, the did double, but my progestrone was decreasing, I was on supplements, it ended bad at 8wks, they heart had stopped at 6w6d.  So progestrone could just be prolonging an already bad pregnancy,  but dont give up, find out everything you can about your body, so it can be fix by the next pregnancy.I found out that I have a luteal phase defect, I needed to induce my ovulation to get better quality follicles.  I think it worked, I am 8+wks and did not need any progestrone this time around.  I hope this info helps, I know I came to medhelp because I wanted to find people in my same situation that could help with answers.  If you have any questions, at all dont hesitate.  You are in my prayers and I pray that all our little beans stick.  What happened with your last two m/c?

I have read that as long as your hcg rises by at least 60% you are OK.  :)  Are you going to continue to be monitored to check the numbers?  Good luck to you!  I hope you get good news and your little bean sticks!!!  :)
