What is that!? Anyone else??

Does anyone else have a rhythmic, almost breathing like sensation from their baby? Mine does this thing where he is moving up and down quite rapidly and it seems as if he is either pretending to be breathing or crying (poor thing). He just did it a little bit ago, then it subsided. I just wonder what it is! I can see my belly move up and down in the rhymic pattern in the one specific spot. Also, I think baby is head up right now :\

Babies do get hiccups all the time. Mine has them several times per day.

I hadn't heard about practice breathing before. That's pretty neat! I read in my pregnancy book the baby has the hiccups. I've had it a couple times within the past week and it makes sense. My "rhythmic twitching" usually lasts 3-5 minutes. Not much longer ladies!!!

You must be talking with bny. The movement I'm referring to is not seizure like and not hiccups. I am positive it is practice breathing after doing research. It is just identical to how a newborn breathes. My little guy is pretending to breathe (:

That happens to me too and it's a little creepy! lol
I'd swear he's having seizures too.
It's such a strong fast movement it takes my breath away sometimes.

I'm sure it's practice breathing that I'm feeling. It fits a breathing pattern to a "T". I just have never felt this from my babies in the past. This is my sixth child. I actually find it very cool. Just wondering if anyone else feels this practice breathing? It's not seizure like, and it's not hiccups. I know what both of those movements feel like. Getting excited...almost there!

yea that happens to me too!! sometimes it feels like she is having a seizure!!!! she like vibrates or something wierd like that! other times she can get the hiccups those last minutes as opposed to a few seconds that the fast moving vibratoin thing does..  they do pretend breathe at this point.. but i cant ever feel that .... whooo we are almost there! : )
