Baby's not head down???

Hiya november mummies :) just wondered how many of you know if baby's head down yet? I saw my midwife last thursday and my baby isnt yet she said dont worry about it because there's planty of time yet. But is it true that after 36 weeks its hard to get them to turn if they havent? I'm really hoping he or she turns soon I know s/he hasnt yet I can feel the head at the top still.

Thank You. xxx

Hi all, updating as promised.  It turns out first one is, as before, still heads down.  Baby B is still lying transverse.  I thought he was heads down, because of where I felt the hiccups, but it turns out the hiccups you feel are their tummys moving, not thier mouths.  Who knew?  So, I don't think the second one (Baby B) will turn, because the doctor says that at this point (36 weeks) there's not enough room!  So, I am not sure what happens with a singleton at 34 weeks....

Well, I have twins.  Baby A is heads down (has been since about 32 weeks), Baby B was transverse at my 34 week visit.  With a twin birth, you can deliever vaginally as long as Baby A is heads down, so I'm hoping it all works out.  I think Baby B might now also be heads down, because I don't feel his head up high anymore, and he had the hiccups a few nights ago, and it definitely was in the middle of my tummy now, instead of way up high.  So I think it's possible to still flip for quite a while, because I don't think Baby B flipped very long ago, if I'm right and he did flip.  I have a visit on Thursday with my OB, and I'll try to remember to let you know if I'm right and he really did flip to heads down.

My lil' guy has his head down from at least 32 weeks that I know of. I'll be 34 weeks this Wednesday.... So, hopefully from now on he stays that way!  I think so though b/c they say the farther along you go the harder it is for them to move b/c there's less & less room in there!

It's not an ultrasound that shows it, your midwife should be checking where the baby is lay by feeling your belly. Not sure if they can determine the weight I didnt ask.

Thanks bny807 hopefully this little 1 will turn soon.

I have no idea if my lil mans head is down or up still. and i dont get anymore u/s and the last one was at 17weeks so im guessing the doc. will tell me if he is head up or down i go in on the 14th for my 35 week check up..and im going to ask her i want to know how much he weighs and if he is head down so i will request for a u/s maybe she will give in and say yes but i highly doubt that.. Good Luck :0p

Mine is down - it has been since about 30 weeks or so.. they told us once she was around 5lbs that the chances of her flipping on her own and flip to the breech position were next to none since she was so big at that point...but apparnetly if yours stays head up then they can do versions which are apparently pretty successful! : ) good luck! : )
