Cervical Ache???

Okay, I know this might sound a bit weird but I'm a little worried.  All day I've been feeling not so much "pain" but this dull ache in my cervix.  It's not there all the time and it seems to go away when I'm walking about and sometimes even when I'm sitting or lying still, I suddenly realise it's not there but then it comes back.
I'm assuming that this is something to do with the increased blood flow or whatever but thought I'd ask if anyone else is experiencing this.

Same here, a kind of heaviness and then sharp shocking pain really low down. Lasts a short time and comes and goes. I guess everything is just growing and stretching. Random pains seem to be normal.

Thanks ladies... that makes me feel better just knowing it's not only me.
In fact, it hasn't happened yet today.  It's only early but so far so good.

i meant to mention, i do get shock feelings every once in a while too down there! usually when up and walking.. i thought something was surely wrong, and then another pregnant friend asked me if i had had "lightning crotch" yet?  first of all i laughed at the name, then i felt so relieved that it was common enough to have a name!!! i also read recently in an article thats totally normal too! haha

That's so weird!  I just had the same kind of pain today, and was all worried about it!  I'm going to ask my Doctor about it at my appointment next week (next Thursday)!  I'll let you know what she says!

i defintely get that "heaviness" or full kind of feeling down there as well.. its usually after i'[ve been standing a while (which i would thinik increased blood flow) or honestly sometimes its related to constipation too (sorry tmi!).   But to be safe i'd have your dr do a sono to check your cervical length.. even though i dont have any risk factors for cervical incompetence my dr checks via sono every 3 weeks (esp around the 20 week mark) just becuase its been such a rough road, and we want to keep our eye on everything!   But it is normal i believe.. though when i feel that pressure it always worries me as well! then i just try to lay down and take it easy! :)
