that does sound like a good idea Amy if they're going to have to remove it anyways then you might as well have a c-section at the same time.
and I can't believe you've only gained 7 pounds!!!! i'm deffintly over 10  and that was last month when I had my drs appointment lol a little nervous to see what I'm at now.

Hazeleyz you are are going to have the cutest little baby bump lol you'll be one of the women who don't gain weight anywhere else... I think our friendship is over.. jk but seriously I've blown up every where, so you truly are blessed!!!

hey girls!! glad to hear everyone is doing well!!
amy- sorry about the cyst!!! but that sounds like a great plan to get a c section and get it removed at the same time!!! i would think that the chances of torsion of the cyst would be pretty minimal while pregnant, since there isn't room in your belly for it to twist and turn, so that good!  oh yea sooo did you find out the sex?????

hope_peace- good luck with the ultrasound, so exciting!!!! yea not sure when we'll do the whole registry thing.. the reason we got furniture so early was we were told it could take 4 months to get it, but turns out it was all in stock! ahhh! so i'm a little freaked out to get it in our house so early!!! but we have a empty room ready and waiting!

Hazleyz- i agree, i have no idea how your in regular pants either!! i havn'et gained any weight (since i've been so sick) but i defintely can't fit in anything anymore.. i'll get your gonna have a super cute bump though! : )   : )

yeaa for everyone starting to feel their little ones too!! sooo ecxiting, such a GREAT feeling isn't it??

Thanks!  There is definitely a cyst.  It is the size of my fist.  They have known about it from the very beginning and thankfully through all four of my ultrasounds...it has not grown any...so that's a relief!  It wasn't until my appointment with the specialist that it was given the fancy name "dermoid cyst" and determined to be attached to my ovary after all.  I am feeling SOOOOO much about the whole thing after talking with my regular OB yesterday.  We are both on the same page with WAITING on surgery.  There is always the chance that the cyst could rupture or torque and force me into emergency surgery...but we're going to hold out hope that it won't cause any problems for the rest of my pregnancy!  Pray for me!  Soooo, I was also HAPPY that my OB is open to the idea of an elective c-section to deliver the baby and remove the mass at the same time!  He was iffy about it at first, but after my 2nd opinion with the specialist he is coming around to the idea.  I am nervous about the c-section b/c I had a natural delivery with my daughter...but it just seems to make sense for my situation...why not take care of both at the same time!?!  :)

Wow, sorry that wound up being so long!

It's so great to catch up with you ladies!!  Hope_peace...good luck with your ultrasound on Monday!  We'll be anxiously awaiting your results!!  Hazleyz- HOW ON EARTH are you still in regular pants!  Oh my goodness you lucky girl!!!  Maybe the fact that I've gained about 7 pounds is part of my problem!!  :)

Amy oh my goodness you'll deffintly have to keep us up to date with how everything goes. I hope they're wrong and that there is no cyst and that everything is perfectly normal and fine.
I see that you have another u/s booked for june 30th hopefully you'll be able to find out the sex then.

BNY you guys are starting your nursery already sooo jealous. my husband and I are moving right after the baby is born so we can't start our nursery until after the little one is here.

Hazleyez I can't believe your not in maternity jeans yet you must be crazy tiny but hey the longer your not in the the less money you have to spend. Maternity clothes are sooo expensive.

I've been feeling good. Pregnancy has been going great.
I'm 20 weeks today and my baby is the most active in the morning. I could even feel the little one kick when I touched my stomach. so I'm praying that when my husband flys in tomorrow for a week he'll be able to feel the baby move.
Hes missed seeing my tummy grow because he's been away at work so I'm excited to see him.
We go for our u/s on monday praying and hoping everything is ok and that we'll be able to find out the sex of the baby. and then we're going to go do our registry lol

Hey!  So glad you're doing well!  I'm doing pretty good!  Our nursery is a "garage sale junk room" right now.  Once we find out the gender I'm going to have a garage sale and I keep throwing everything to sell in the nursery!  It's such a mess!  I can't wait to know whether or not I can get rid of, or keep, my girls clothes!

I met with a Maternal and Fetal Specialist yesterday about the complex mass in my abdomen.  My regular OB wasn't sure what it was so he wanted to send me for a 2nd opinion.  The specialist thinks it's a dermoid cyst and left it up to me to remove it now or after the baby is born.  He gave me the pros and cons both ways.  Losing the baby is a possibility if I do have surgery...so that makes me want to wait and just pray that it won't cause complications later in my pregnancy.  Ugh...so much to think about!  I am going to see my regular OB in a little bit to discuss my specialist appointment so I'm anxious to hear his thoughts.

I was hopeful to get a guess at the gender yesterday but it still appears to be a mystery.  The ultrasound tech (radiologist, sonographer, what do you call them?!?!)  Anyway, she said she saw 2 of the 3 lines for a girl so "girl" was her guess.  Then she flipped it to 3D and said "Well, that makes it look like a boy, but it's probaby the umbilical cord".  After the doctor came in to the room and was done examining the mass, he looked at the baby for a little bit and asked if we wanted to know the gender.  We said "YES!"  He said he guessed male.  Neither one of them wanted to place bets.  Twice I thought I saw the "three lines" for a girl but if the tech didn't see it (what I saw looked really obvious on the screen) then obviously I wasn't looking at the right thing...if what I saw was "girl" the tech definitely would have seen it too.  Heck, I was probably looking at the butt or foot or some random body part and didn't even realize it.  :)  It's so easy to get turned around when looking at an ultrasound.

Anywho...that's ME!  I am feeling movement but definitely not consistent.  I'm only 16 weeks though so I'm hoping it'll pick up in the next few weeks.  It is such an awesome and reassuring feeling!
