Is this a Blighted Ovum????

I thought I was 5 wks pregnant but I had my hcg done last thursday and it was 11,000. It was teken again on monday and it was 27,000. She called me in to do an ultrasound and all we saw was a sac. I have had 3 miscarraiges already and I am very scared. I still feel pregnant( sore breast, nausea, tiredness, mood swings). According to my hcg levels I am 6 wks. Should I be worried? I go back next thursday, 4/9/09. She said if i don't have a heartbeat by then its probally a blighted ovum. Oh yeah I am taking Prometrium 200mg.

Congrats to you to. So when is your due date? Mine is Nov 26. I just hope I get to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. LOL Have you been feeling nauseaous? I have been. Especially if I don't eat. Until next time.......

yeaaa so excited for you! what wonderful news!!!! : )  this is also our first pregnancy to ever see a heartbeat and man what a miracle it is!!! i know i can't wait till we get to feel movements, and then it will really put my mind at ease, i think anyways!!! ! well take it easy..and CONGRATS! : )

Thank you for all your prayers. I went to the doctor last Thursday and I saw my babies heartbeat. I am 7 wks pregnant and I am so excited. I have never got this far along to see the heartbeat. I am still spotting off and on but the doctor says its because I have a blood clot on my uterus. She has put me on bed rest and told me to take it easy. I am so happy and i cant wait to feel my baby move.

i have had a blighted ovum in the past.. i had NO spotting or anything until almost 10 weeks... usually that is the case i think.. so hopefully that means that your bean was just snuggling into your uterus for the long haul! : )

Thanks I need all the prayers I can get. I had some brown spotting this past weekend so that is why I am thinking it is a Blighted Ovum. My nerves are getting the best of me. I am trying to relax. I can't wait until my appointment.

Hello!   I am so sorry for your past losses... as far as this pregnancy goes i'd wait and see what the next ultrasound shows... i know the waiting process is HORRIBLE! but if you think your 5 weeks pregnant, i'd go based on what you think verses the hcg numbers.. they can vary soooo much in early pregnancy! ultrasounds are more important.. and if you are 5 weeks or a little over 5 weeks then a sac is all that would be expected to be seen! : )     So i think it sounds very hopeful! blighted ovums really shouldn't be diagnosed as early as 6 weeks.. check out the site misdiagnosedmiscarriage.com.. it has some amazing stories on there!   GOOD LUCK! your in my prayers and keep us updated! : )
