Trouble Sleeping!!!!

Hey ladies ive been having a lot of trouble sleeping. i am 5 months and its still really hard for me to sleep on my side. im not that big yet so i dont know if that has anything to do with it but also wenever i try to sleep on my side for the whole night all of my hip and the side of my leg start hurting and then i switch to the other side but then it happens on that side to so im constantly waking up in the middle of the night tossing and turing. have any of you guys been going through this or is this unusual? oh yeah also have any of you woken up so sore all over your body with a big headache, which i think came from not getting enough sleep, and feeling so weak?

I, too, am having the same issues.  However, I did invest in the "snoogle" pillow which has helped me a great deal.  It's a full body pillow that curls on each end to support your head and neck and then you can tuck the other end between your knees.  It gives me the back support when I sleep on my left side, and when I switch to the right side, I can snuggle with it comfortably.  You can even roll it up and prop yourself up when you encounter the dreaded heartburn!  I seem to be sleeping a lot better!  (it's not perfect, but it's better than what it was!)  You can get one from amazon.com for $50 (free shipping) check out some of the reviews on it, or check out another pregnancy pillow...it'll be worth it!

I am soooo there with you right now. I even have the pregnancy pillows and it doesn't work for me, I'm constantly tossing and turning. (but it more just gives me a head ache so I do recommend getting pillows)  I'll be sleeping on my left side and I'll wake up and my right arm and hand are numb with no feeling. lol which is weird but I have heard from other moms they have had that before.
so even though the pregnancy pillow gives me a headache you really should invest in some pillows. mine only gives me a headache because I'm use to a flat pillow for my head and not one thats so high up.

The back sleeping has been a topic of concern on our forum before. I asked my dr about that last time I was in. I was having a horrible time adjusting to sleeping on my side instead of my back. She said not to worry about it. There's women with certain heath conditions that should only sleep on their sides, but as for the rest of us, let it come natural. Don't lose sleep forcing yourself to sleep uncomfortably. I also sleep with a pillow on either side of me so when I do roll onto one of my sides, I have plenty of back and hip support. Good luck!

I had that same problem with my son at about five months I am not quite there yet. But slept with a pillow between my legs it seemed to help alot, and sometimes having a pillow under your belly can help too at least it did for me. And I don't recall waking up sore or with a bad headache so I can't help you there sorry :(
