has anyone???

i had a m/c 7 wks ago, just found out that i am PG again.  (we were not trying, but then again we were not NOT trying either)  Had an U/S 2 days ago, measuring 5w5d and saw fetal pole, yolk sac, and HB (106bpm).  i am a little concerned, first i am older 36 and my hcg level 5 days before U/S was 10,200.  is that High?  i am concerned about birth defects b/c of my age anyway.  do not have a ob/gyn appt til 4/7.

Congrats to you also!!!  i am just real nervous since my previous miscarriage.  As far as the doctor can tell - i actually got pregnant only 5 days after my miscarriage.  I am debating whether or not to ask for an amnio.  it scares me to have one but yet i am more scared about birth defects.  Am i just making too much out of BEING over 35?????

Congrats!!  I too became pregnant 7 weeks after my m/c in Jan09, and it has been a bit stressful but exciting at the same time!  My HCGs were within range this time, and the u/s today revealed a yolk sac and fetal heartbeat (they couldn't yet make out the fetus length).  Anyway, it's a blessing that all is well for both of us so just enjoy that for now. During your next appt, I would bring up the concerns about high HCGs, but it could be that you are farther along than you think.  The heartbeat is usually visible at 6 weeks...  Best to you!

congrats!!! everything sounds great.. you saw the heartbeat, and yolk sac, fetal pole.. as far as the ucg goes that sounds great for that timing.. i am not aware of higher hcg's being concern for birth defects.. if you are concerned you can tell your doc and they can do the prenatal testing for you.. otherwise congrats, looks great! : )
