need answers if possible

im 7 weeks pregnant i woke this morning with cramps in my tum went to the toilet and i discovered i was bleeding slightly. went for a scan thinking that it mught ease my worries but it didnt i was told that there was a pregnancy sac and a yolk sac but there was no fetal pole to be detected. this is my second pregnancy i never experienced this before. can anyone shed any light on this please im so confused is there a baby or not?????

hi ladies just had my scan im so happy all is well so my little baby's heart beatn and it little body im a week less in my pregnancy than what we thought we were but that ok 2 i have never been so happy just have to keep the fingers crossed that everything else will be ok i hav a small tear outside the sac thats why i am bleeding so i hav to take things very easy im not complaining special treatment off the hubby. tanks girls for all the advice that ye gave me i will keep ye all up dated

definitely ask for your HCG levels to be monitored.  also if you are even bleeding in the slighest the very best thing you can do - STAY OFF YOU FEET.  be sure and tell your doctor everything you are feeling.  I wish you the very best of luck.  take care of yourself..........

thanks for the comment i appreciate i think that i am 7 weeks because the lady who took my scan said i was from my last period. they didnt take ne hcg levels from me but i am going to the hospital tomorrow and i will ask for it im also getting a trans vaginal scan done so hopefully this will detect the fetal pole. there was nothing on the scan i cud see the sac and the yolk but nothing else im still getting sick and my breasts are sore and i also done another test today and it said i was pregnant im so so confused and scared hopefully tomorrow will show everything

How do you know that you're 7 weeks pregnant?  Melo is right: get your HCG levels monitored so that you have a better idea of what's going on.  Also check out misdiagnosedmiscarriage.com for stories about this very thing.  Best to you and I hope that all turns out well!

Sorry your going through this. Has your doctor monitored your HCG levels?
It's very common for ultrasounds not to show everything this early in pregnancy. I'm guessing they didn't detect a heartbeat? What are they going to do next?

I know it's hard to wait for answers. It's possible to have a sac and yolk without a viable pregnancy. It's also possible that your pregnancy just isn't far enough along for them to see everything. I would request HCG levels to be checked over the next few days to see what's happening.
