Horrible Insomnia

I've been having horrible insomnia for the past couple of weeks. I go to bed around 11 and wake up at 3am. Then I just lay there and watch the sun rise. It's making me feel exhausted during the day, but every night the same thing happens. Has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy? It's very similar to when I have PMS, but at that time it usually only lasts a day or two. I can't quite get comfortable and I have lower-back aches every night. I also just can't stop my mind from racing. What should I do?

Yeah I tried the Tylenol thing the other night and it didn't help.  I even took extra strength.  I think a body pillow would be good for the back pain.  Hope it helps.

Sorry you are going through this too. Maybe you can take some Tylenol before you go to bed for the hip pain? To relieve the lower back pain, I am thinking about getting a big body pillow to prop between my arm and legs.

I can only sleep, at most, 2 hours at a time because my hips hurt ssssssoooooo bad from sleeping on my side.  I turn back and forth but by the end of the night I am just tossing and turning because it hurts so bad.  I tried putting a pillow between my legs and another one under my hips but nothing works.  I feel your pain.  I am so tired throughout the day as well and have been getting headaches the past few days from I think lack of sleep and tense muscles.  I haven't found anything yet that works for me.  I was asking around at work and they told me to try a memory foam mattress topper.  Some say it worked well and others were not that impressed so I am deciding if I want to spend the money or not.  Hope you can find a solution.  Please share if you do.
