Getting Fit while pregnant.

Well I am currently 7 weeks pregnant,and before i became aware i was pregnant i wanted to start exercising and loosing weight.  I am already on the heavy side as it is, and i know I cant stop it now that I'm only going to gain more weight from pregnancy.I know Cardio, like runnig, is key to fitness but im not sure how safe it is during pregnancy?
any tips? :) Thanks
