I go for my Glucose tomorrow not suure what it's like , heard you drink some nasty drink /: anyways when I phoned and made an apointment they didn't really tell me much all I know it checks for diabetes and just wondering do I eat or drink anything before going and why do they make you drink that drink ..? Just wondering

I don't know what I got yet won't know until August 20th .. It was pretty simple , I went there fasting although I was just not suppose to eat or drink anything for four hours . I drank the orange drink which only had 5 minutes to drink and then had to wait an hour too get blood work and it went by pretty fast(:

I go for mine on Tuesday and was told not to drink it eat anything sugary an hour before I drink it. And depending on flavor you have, the orange is not bad as long as it's cold. And from what I've read you drink it and have your blood drawn roughly an hour later to see how your body handles the sugar. Some don't handle well which is why if you come back with high numbers you have to do a 3hr test just like it again and if that comes back high again then your body can't handle it and you'll have to monitor your blood sugar every day and can cause the baby to get too big if it's not controlled because they get too much sugar in their "diet" and you'll most likely have to have a c-section. But most the times it goes away after delivery.

How did u get on in your test? I have to fast from midnight and go to clinic at 8.30 where they'll test my sugar level then give me the drink then wait 2 hours and be tested again and I'll get a light snack at 11.30 before I leave. I'm not looking forward to it.

I was told not to eat or drink for 4hours not even gum

The docto's office told me not to eat or drink up to 2 hours before your appointment. My test is next week

Do not eat nothing before u get their and the soda is not that bad just taste like diet orange soda or grape
