getting released today without my baby

No one really tells you how to prepare yourself to go home from hospital without your baby.

I can only imagine how parents feel when their children are in nicu for months. My heart breaks for them.

I'm getting released from hospital without my baby today. Hopefully he will get to come home monday. Due to myself being a high risk pregnancy since I am diabetic he had to be taken to nicu to check his blood sugar and moniter him. I didn't get to hold him or do skin to skin like I planned. I didn't even get to see him for 24 hours since i had a c section. It's the worse feeling in the world. They found his white blood count was high so they put him on antibiotics. I'm glad they found it now instead of him being really sick in a few days and having to bring him back. But on the up side I have a big boy at 8.5 pounds and he's a big eater :) I don't think I've ever loved someone so much.

It is hard but he is going to be ok. I know that feeling my mom come from texas to help me with my baby yesterday night the baby was eating almost all night i was super tired this morning. I pumped some milk and my mother took care of him i sleep for about 2 hours and when i wake up i saw my baby and i felt so upset like i was a bad mother and was not taking a good care of him. I think is a normal feeling :-( but you need to rest and be healthy so you can take care of your baby keep strong :-)

I'm doing good! Recovery is a bit tough if I do too much during the day. C sections are no joke. Lol

But yes 3 days seems so fast but it's taking forever. I miss him so much and I hate leaving him. I was upset yesturday because I was exhausted and I missed him and wanted to see him. My boyfriend was like it's okay if your tired and you want to rest. You saw him this morning we don't need to go tonight if you don't want to. And I immediately felt like a bad mother for being tired. I went to see him anyway but kept the visit short. I changed his diaper and kissed him goodnight and left. I hate leaving him. I wish it was just leaving and ny ways far as the next room. Not a whole city over.

Wooow 3 days is not a lot of time but when you are in a hospital it looks like an eternity i was 2 days in the hospital after delivery and i was just counting the hours to go home. The good side is that they are being sure your baby is all healthy before go home that is better then take him home and then have to go back to the hospital. I will keep praying for your litle baby :-) he is a big and strong boy and he will be ok :-)

Azulita. I had to be in bed for we hours following c section. So I didn't get to see him for a whole day. Then I was able to go down and visit but the pain from c section makes it hard to stay long amounts of time. I feel better and take my pain meds before I go so that it's easier for my while I'm there. I miss him so much whwn he is and way from me.
