Cervical exams

I'm a ftm, currently 34weeks.. Beginning 36 weeks my Dr said I would be getting cervical checks. They said it was something I could refuse. Just wondering what other moms are doing. Is it beneficial or not really worth it?

My doctor told me they do one at the 36 week appointment and not usually besides that unless you ask for it to be done. I may ask every two weeks just to see what's happening! As of my last appointment, I was a whopping 1 cm dilated lol.

I don't think it really matters or not if you get it. But if you did get checked I have heard it could help dilate you. But I'm going to get checked just to know if I'm making progress

That would mean they would check to see if you are dilated or effaced. If you don't care dont get checked. If you want to know get checked.
