Deceased Twin

10w 5d Ftm it seemed like everything was going perfect at my first appointment (6 weeks) and just yesterday I went in for the second ultrasound and the doctor mentioned the possibility of twins, one of the babies was measuring at 8 weeks which was a bit smaller than the other one and when they checked for a heartbeat there was nothing ): I got sent to the hospital for bloodwork as I will be having a miscarriage soon for the deceased baby its a lot to take in from one day to another but I'm trying to stay strong for my little one

When my Mom was pregnant with my younger sister she got really sick with influenza. Her ultrasound showed she was carrying twins, she already had 1 set of twins before. She ended up loosing one of the babies, the doctors attributed it to her illness. Luckily my little sister hung in there and was born perfectly healthy. My Mom was sad for some time, reminiscing about the baby that didn't make it. So of course she poured all of her love and affection into the surviving baby. My Mom later said that the whole experience was a blessing in disguise, because my little sister was such a difficult baby. She said if she had had to take care of two like my sister she would have lost her marbles. So I guess just be thankful you have another little miracle holding on and you can give that baby twice the love and care now.
