For ftm's who r curious about epidural.♡

This post is for those of you who are worried or would like to know about the epidural. Now let me say this, epidural does not always work for everybody and sometimes it takes more than one shot for it to work for certain people. I don't know everything about the epidural because I'm not a doctor, but some people are worried that there is a needle that gets left in your back but that's not the case. When I got my epidural they use a needle to insert a catheter so that way they can put the epidural in your back the needle gets taken out but the catheter stays in, I don't know if it's the same for everyone but in my case that's how it was. I have to be honest. I LOVED the epidural. When I was 17 I had a baby girl full term, but my labor went so fast that by the time I even got to the hospital I had to push. I was begging for pain medicine but they told me it was too late. They told me that I had to push cuz she was crowning. At the age of 20 I had my son, labor still went fast for me but luckily I got the epidural quickly, and omg it was a huge relief. Labor went easily and smoothly. Now here are the downsides: You most likely can't control your bowels, so don't be suprised if the room starts stinking and u don't know why lol, and I had some pretty bad back pain after the epidural wore off. It's gone now and I'm pregnant with my 3rd and I plan on getting it again. Now some people say it hurts like hell, but when u are in that much pain you don't feel the needle. Or at least I didnt. Every woman handles pain tolerance differently. I'm a sissy Lala I'm no good with pain, which is why I decided to get the epidural. Epidural does not affect your baby, and shouldn't affect you long term. Like I said this post is just to help you moms to be learn a little bit more about it before you get it. Of course there are risks when you get an epidural there are risks in almost anything you do when it comes to medication. And I'm happy for those are all natural, like I said I had my daughter when I was 17 and it was all natural no pain medication what so ever. I don't know everything and everybody story is different, I'm just trying to give you a little insight on my opinion on it. My sister-in-law has to get three epidural shots in order for it to work for her. If you guys have any questions for me I check this app everyday and you can message me on here or personally and I will be glad to answer any questions you might have. Congratulations mommys♡
