Help: Had 36 week check up today and now bleeding

So today I had my 36 week check up. And I had my pelvic exam and my OBGYN said I am 1cm dilated. When he put his fingers in me it was very uncomfortable. Now it's 5 hours later and I am bleeding/or was bleeding (Brownish Red Color). I am not sure if it's my mucus plug because it doesn't look very mucusy. Just brownish redish chunks but I keep wiping and it keeps coming out. I am not in any pain. Do you all think it's just from him putting his fingers in me so hard and that irritated something? (I know that sounds kind-of gross and weird lol) or could it possibly be my mucus plug?  Has anyone else have this happen to them?

That's normal! Not to worry. It may be a few days till it goes completely away.

Yes, I believe that's normal! When my doctor checked me at 36+4, she told me that some women bleed a little after. It's just not normal if it's bright red or there is a lot of it!
