I had to get antibiotics in my IV when I was in labor. I was told that by my doctor at 36 weeks when they did the swab.
Definitely use the 7-day cream. I had yeast infection three times throughout this pregnancy and it will be my first baby. Last time I had it was just during my 38th week. Luckily I have not popped yet. Definitely use the external cream as well, it helps with the burning sensation.
If you end up being due during your yeast infection, they should be able to treat your baby if he/she is being vaginally delivered. Worst case is you'll end up with a c section to prevent baby's risk of being infected.
Yess thank you i will give my doctor a call!
I had or thought I had a yeast infection last week. I called my doctor and they said it was fine to take the medicine you buy in the stores. Like monostate (however you spell it) or a generic kind. The baby won't get hurt but if you were to go into labor and you do have a yeast infection the baby could get thrush which is a yeast infection in the babies mouth (yucky). And my doc recommend doing the 3 or 7 day dosage. She said the one day dosage sometimes isn't strong enough or gets rid of it even though it's supposed to be. She also said be sure to finish the 3 day or 7 day dosage before my next OB check and don't insert it all the way in. Another pointer is that sometimes it can be a bacteria infection instead of a yeast infection (this is what my doc said), when I went to my appointment at 38 weeks to get checked they did a swab test to make sure it was gone but they actually said I had a bacteria infection, not a yeast infection and I am now on antibiotics for 7 days which I am hoping to finish before the baby comes. I hope this helped.
