Weight gain

I'm 26 weeks and 4 days and I've already gained 30lbs!:( Anyone else feel like they've gained too much already? I asked my doctor about my weight gain and she just said to cut back a litte. I thought I did, but the scale says otherwise..

Im 28 weeks and 4 days. I was 117 lbs when i conceived and now i weigh 141lbs. Completely healthy, my son is just a big baby. So you shouldn't worry about your weight. You just might be all baby. As long as your doctor says your healthy thats all that should matter.

You should try exercising. If you dont have energy for gym, walk instead. I walk 3-5 miles every other day.

Don't be to hard on yourself.  I barely gained 15lbs with my first and nearly 60lbs with my second. It took me over a year to lose the weight but I managed to do it. Now pregnant with baby #3 and have gained almost 40lbs. Just be sure to eat as healthy as you can and get some cardio in and you'll be fine!

I'm at 27 weeks and I've gained 14 so far. If you're swelling a lot some of it could be water weight. My sisters doctor told her a big thing to remember is not to eat a ton every time you're hungry. A pack of crackers or some fruit in between meals will work.

Salty foods would make you hold water and make you more likely to have high blood pressures associated with pre-eclampsia. Just walk more and do prenatal yoga and go for fruit if you have a sweet tooth. I have been feeling like I gained too much as well, but I figure it's all worth it in the end

I mentioned to my doctor the preeclampsia but she didn't seem to think it was that.

could be preclampsia but maybe not. Try staying away from greasy, acidy, sugary foods. Drink lots of water. I gained almost 70 lbs with my first and it was very hard to lose. I never did get back down to my pre pregnancy weight or even close before I got pregnant with my second (6years later) I'm currently in week 29 of my second pregnancy and have gained 27 lbs. don't be too hard on yourself either tho. If you dedicate yourself after having baby you can lose it. I just never made the time.  Don't stress yourself over it. Good luck.
