Renal dilation

Where the babies kidneys are dilated from urine backing up into them. Dr says it's common, they're just keeping a close eye on it not to worry. Ultrasound shows plenty of fluid around him so they know everything is functioning properly. How do I not freak out being a first timer???

I have also been dealing with this for the last few months. The doctors do not seem too concerned at this point and each ultrasound they do it gets ccloset and closer to not being an issue at all. When they first noticed the problem they scheduled me for an ultrasound every two weeks and now I am down to one a month and if it goes well Monday it wwon't need to be monitored any longer.

Exact same thing is going on with me! I thought I was the only one. I'm 27 weeks now. I met with the peds Nephrologist last week which helped calm my nerves about it. My baby had one kidney with the dilation issue the other seems to be resolving. You only need one kidney so I'm somewhat relieved. But due to the kidney issue I have an excess amount of amniotic fluid so I worry about preterm labor. There is no way of diagnosing the baby till after he is born...I was told. So no Google just try to stress less and take care of yourself.
