Skipped induction and epidural. Lol

I was scheduled to get induced tonight BUT ended up having up bby boy earlier thia morning. I jumped from a 1 cm to 9 cm in 2 hours and was unable to get epidural like i planned. It was...an experience. OMG!! LOL. that i will never do again!! Lol but baby boy is perfect. But the labor was so fast, he is having a slow time adjusting and has to be put on oxygen. He is doing really well though. Hope everything goes well with you guys. Good luckkk

Congratulations! I went from a 3 to complete in 3h (ftm), but they gave me cytotec. By the time they got me the epidural I laid back down and felt the urge to push. The nurse kept telling me to fight the urge so that the doctor could get there.

Nope, it was just all of a sudden. I felt a little crampy while i was cooking but i didnt wanna get too worked up so i gave daughter a bath and then bathed myself. After my shower, i really felt contractions but they were coming every three mins, i started doubting them and just went to lay down. After laying down for about 20 mins the pain was so intense i knew they were real. But yeah, it just dialted on its own. So dont worry about dialation, when your body is ready...it will take off! Lol ready or not

Congratulations! That's really encouraging. Was there anything specific you did or did the cervix just start dilating on its own? I'm almost in a similar situation as I'm past my due date by a couple of days n I'm not yet dilated.
