Contracting 1-3 minutes apart but inducing tmw.

Hi, I am inducing tomorrow morning. But have been contracting a lot today with shorter intervals than 5 minutes. They aren't enough for me to feel like screaming inside but get are definitely hurting like period cramps and pressure points on my upper abdomen. Should I just wait until tomorrow to be admitted or just go in today?? I don't want to feel like this is a false alarm for myself and the doctors and I don't want to not go in today if it'll be risky for my baby. Oh, one other thing, I contracted a lot due to having sex (for the last time lol)--TMI, sorry--in hopes to induce labor faster but it's just been a brown bloody show since. Nothing bright red yet, but definitely the contractions are frequent.

@Gnay awww omg. Im so glad u got to get epidural. I progressed so quick and went into labor by myself this morning at around 12. Had him at 535. Arrived at hospital at 139 and was at 1cm. By 420 i was at 9 cm. I cried instantly when they told me i couldnt get epidural. Lol those contractions hurt so bad. I felt like i was gonna pass out during labor. It was so intense. Im so glad baby is here and labor is finally over though!!

Ahh! Congratulations! You definitely went into labor very quickly and had your baby way better than I did. I was in labor for 24 hours and 15 minutes. I was sooo exhausted so the epidural was necessary for me. I had my baby quick though through all the numbness and pushed him out in just 20 minutes... Thank goodness!! Im just happy it's over and we both have our baby the same day! Happy birthday to your little one!

Omg....this pitocin stuff is seriously no joke. At first, I was feeling normal contractions as I would at home, only to find out I'm not even dilating because my effacement is going slow.... They said my water broke but it only fracked maybe from the top instead of where my cervix was. So the nurse voluntarily popped it so it can gush out on the bed. So it felt like j was peeing. I can in at about 10am. Now it's been 11pm. She stripped my membrane at 3pm, so that's when the pitocin stuff really kicked in. Contractions are so intense and I wasn't allowed to get epidural until I was 3cm dilated. But they allowed me to have IV pain meds which helped sorry of, but I could still feel pain. I got me all loopy too, which also made the baby feel sleepy and his heart rate dropped from it--they said its normal. My biggest tip is that when yo begin contracting, so not strain yourself by tensing any of your muscles or grab hold of anything. That will slow dilation. So the reason for the practice breathing is to allow the pain do its thing and it will push your contractions to dilate faster. Once I got to 3cm I was so thankful for that epidural. My butt and legs all feel like jello. I have a catheter for me to help urinate. I pass gas without even realizing it because I have no control on any part of my lower body. Definitely get epidural if you can't stand the pain. It's so awesome!!
Sorry I didn't bother to double grammar or spelling from my auto text. If you're not dilating fast enough, definitely get pitocin/oxytocin. They are both the same thing. I've been 1cm since I walked in, and with pitocin it took two hours to finally dilate to 3cm. The epidural also helped me nap through my contractions. I can say I've had plenty of rest today.

You should go to the hospital b/c you probably is ready for labor - you might not even need to be induced.

LOL I would not even have sex b/c I don't understand how people do it with a huge tummy and also on top of that with the contraction...?  I did nothing to self induce b/c i believe when the baby is ready then it's time.  I did not stress out on forcing it or thinking I need the baby out - so i think stressing out can make it worse.
I was due Nov 7th but delivered on Oct 28th.  On 10/28 i did not have any pain/contraction on the day of or prior to that.  At about 3am i had a super small spotting on my panty-liner and called the hospital - dr. told me to go in to get checked out - I was 2cm.  Dr. told me to go home and said I could be in labor next day/week.  When we were driving home - 10 minutes later, I started the minor contraction then when i got home not too long after - the contraction was like 3 minutes apart.  I called the hospital again and went back - I was 4 cm.

Thanks. I think sex really did the job for me because this morning I had a bloody show. I didn't think much of it at the time but we admitted me into the hospital just in case. They confirmed that my water broke! Looks like I dodged induction! Good luck tomorrow for you again! Since I'm still not dilated yet, they had me on pitocin to push dilation faster so I'll be having mad contractions all day today.

Drink alot of water and lay on your left side, if they dont calm down.  Def go in. But i know after sex,  i have some pretty rough contractions too but they go away within a few hours. If u cant take the pain though, you should go in right away.
