Which way?

Would you rather have a c-section or vaginal birth? I'm not sure what I should do and I really want to see what other November moms prefer. :c

From a health standpoint, Vaginal birth is ideal. C-sections don't put the baby through the birth canal which can end in trouble with fluid in the lungs and other issues you wouldn't think of like blood circulation and feeding. The body is designed a certain way for a reason--smart God! Secondly, a C-section is a surgery where as a vaginal birth is natural and heals better and doesn't present nearly the amount of complications that abdominal surgery creates. My sister-in-law still feels her scar when she sneezes! Ouch.  C-sections are for emergencies only... Because they are not the best situation for mom and baby.
Fear of pain on the other hand is conquerable. Fear will stall labor and limit the amount of natural pain-relieving hormones that your body provides. Education about the process  is golden though. We ought not give birth on our backs, for instance, because it cuts off the entrance to the birthing canal. We don't necessarily need someone screaming at us to PUSH either... If someone did that to you during a bowel movement, you'd have hemorrhoids for days! Birth happens on its own. It requires you to stay calm and relaxed... No wasting valuable energy... Just focus and breathe and trust your body! You need some birth empowerment. Look up Ina May Gaskin and you'll get some confidence!!

I want a natural vaginal birth, but because of my blood pressure being very high, I am not sure whether it will be possible. Csection is the last thing I want, but I don't think it is going to be my choice, depends what is best for my baby.

My sisters both had to have c section and their recovery time was much longer and because they cut thru so many major muscles their tummys will never be the same... Vaginally while sounds equally as horrible is much shorter recovery and you can get more back to normal...
Also with c section you can't walk around and hold baby for like a week...
