can't take these docs anymore!

has anyone else had to have U/S every 2 weeks, and now he wants me to get NST TWICE A WK for remainder of preg!!!!  I am feeling totally stressed, like my body is not my own, and when he said, Your baby will be put in NICU as soon as it's born, all I hear is YOU THINK you're taking my baby away from me as soon as it's born... He can not provide me with any reasons, his explaination is that I have IUGR Intra uterine growth restriction... The exact def of that is a fetus that is BELOW 10th PERCENTILE , My LOWEST was 16th! I was only 5.9 when born.. I am only 5'4. ALL of their tests are coming back FINE baby moves alot and has a STRONG heartbeat. Not only does that Heart rate increase with his movements, but if he hears my cell phone ring, or music it does too!!!! THERE IS NO BASIS FOR ALL OF THIS TESTING AND STRESS!  
My decision... FIRE THEM ALL. Hire a midwife.
He even stated he wanted a drug test ...get this... because I am overly emotional,,,,,, CAUSE: nervous breakdown!

I have bcbs and they pay for them since they are billed as diagnostic. I pay copay. they put it on dvd for me and print pics

do you and manda pay for the extra sonograms? I am on medicaid and I still only get 2 sonograms.

My doctor also told me that me and anyone else only gets 2 sonograms the entire pregnancy inless they pay for additional ones. I have had 3 though b/c before my third and last one I was cramping really bad so they did a sono to check and everything was ok. I do want more sonograms but they will not let me have any. They also will not let me bring a vhs tape to record the sono. They said they do not do it anymore. :(

This all sounds weird to me.  I would probably get a second opinion.  And my doc's only let me have 2 u/s.  I have had more than 2 just because I work at the hospital and I know the people who work in xray.  I would have been offended if they would have tried to make me take a drug test!!!!  That is messed up!!  it sounds like you need a doctor that can provide you with the answers you need instead of beating around the bush!!  Keep us updated with what you find out.  Good luck.

Gotcha. 1st appt with a holistic dr and midwife monday at 130. I have passed 3 drugs tests in past month. As my mom says, Stacy, hon, you wer 6.1lbs and Les was 5.8 are they looking for shquille o neil out of you 2????

eh hem.....take the drug test, and then find out what your legal options are.....it sounds like your dr is pretty much saying he has no idea WTF is going on *exactly*, and he thinks it is due to drugs.....negative....you're a bigger woman than me....find a new doctor.....he's putting you under stress and such for no reason.....i'd take a tape recorder to ur next appt.....idky, but your dr seems to just throw the "drug test" to anyone, seeing if he can figure if the patient is causing something he cannot find.....i know that last part sounds stupid, but did you understand it lol

I start my 2 week ultrasounds on the 7th.  My doctor didn't really say anything about IUGR though, she just said they want to monitor the babys growth because he was measuring small (5 days small) I was like okay.. But the thing I dont get about that is that I was unsure about the exact date of my last MP so I guessed and then they had to do a "dates ultrasound" which put my "due date" at November 2nd.  Well My LMP guess was Jan, 21 which I think put my due date at October 29th.. So baby meausuring 5 days small according to my ultrasound would be baby 1 day small.. So my ultrasounds are pretty uncalled for too.. Just hang in there.. Your doctors dont really seem like they know what they are talking about.. Maybe you should try finding a new doctor or like you said a midwife to make things less stressful on you.
