Thanks for the prayers and concerns. I am kind of used to this pre-term labor stuff. I had pre-term labor with both of my boys. I started labor at 26 week with my second child too, and I carried him 10 more weeks. He was born at 36 weeks and was really healthy, but i just don't think that Olivia will make it to 36 weeks. I hope that she will but I just don't know. I have already had the steroids to strengthen her lungs so I know that she will be okay if she does come early. I just don't want her to have to stay in the NICU.
Good luck sweetie. It sounds like you really have been through an ordeal, and I am sure you are concerned. I am so glad you sought treatment! My lasr doc visit she told me about a woman who started having pre-term labor at 19 weeks and they staved it off for 10 weeks. She was having twins, and they are now 4 years old and 100% healthy. SO, you are already way ahead of that term-wise, and just know they really can delay pre-term labor for a while. Even delivering at 32 weeks redues tons of risks, so if ya'll can hang on even a couple of more weeks you will still be in good shape.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Wow, take it easy. I know it is scary, I was at the hospital last week at exactly 25 weeks. It turns out I had a small separation or tear of the placenta. They said if it happens again I have to have the needle for lung development.
Best thing to do is watch a lot of tv and keep your feet up. It is best just to listen to the doctors and get all the help you can.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Sorry you are having to go through this!! It must be scary. The leaking milk is probably a good sign if you are planning to BF. Hopefully you won't have any trouble with your milk coming in. On the other hand if you are not gonna BF it is probably annoying!! I hope you make it another 9 weeks so take care of yourself and baby!! What will you little girls name be?? I would love to add you to the pink/blue team. Welcome to the forum!! Keep us updated.
